So I just got these and here is my two cents. I am coming from jib trues. First these are HUGE. I have small ears and they barely fit with the smallest set up. They don't seal as well as the jib trues. I like the touch controls personally because the jib trues required you to shove the bud into your ear to push the button or hold them while you try to do so. However, the swiping doesn't work half the time. So consider it a useless feature. Sound is very different for me. Good bass, airy trebles and less mids. The Jibs are super base heavy and strong mids, but weak treble. So it's a preference. I wish there was something in between because I am not sure I like either sound wise.

Probably the worst parts of these are that you cannot use the left by itself and if you pull the left out of your ear it disconnects. This causes problems for me if I take it out and leave it out for a while I can only get the left to reconnect if I drop it back in the case. That is really annoying. Also if I want to pause my music it has to be with the right only, which I don't get. I also don't like that I can't just turn them off without putting them in the case. My jibs allow you to hold the button to turn each off individually. Finally the feature where they turn off when you take them out of your ear is annoying and for some reason turning that off in the app does nothing.

Charging case is HUGE for as little battery as it gives. Jib True gives two more hours for smaller buds and half the case size.

So overall sound is good.. not $100 good, but the rest of the features make me wish I hadn't bought from woot so I could return them without incurring a penalty.

That is odd. I have both the Skullcandy Jib True (paid $15 sale at RiteAid and it retails for $30) and the JBL Live 300 (bought it a few days ago and been using it for the past 4 days). I like the Skullcandy Jib True and they are very good for the $15 that I paid but the JBL are far superior than the Skullcandy Jib True. You may have really small ear canal holes so that may be an issue for you with comfort but I have normal ear canals and they are perfect fit for me with comfort and stability.

Rtings scores comparing the two.
Neutral Sound= JBL 7.3 vs Jib True 6.6 <--- No contest
Comfort= JBL 8 vs Jib True 7 <--- just as comfy as my Samsung Galaxy Buds+.
Controls= JBL 7.1 vs Jib True 6.6 <--- I never adjust my volume with any of my earbuds.
Stability= JBL 8 vs Jib True 7 <--- Love the stability.

Bass accuracy? JBL 7.7 vs Jib True 6.6
Mid accuracy? JBL 8.9 vs Jib True 8.3
Treble accuracy? JBL 8.5 vs Jib True 7.9

And the list goes on and on. I am definitely a fan of its sound, comfort and stability. The controls are better than my Samsung Galaxy Buds+ too.

According to rtings, JBL beats the Jib True in neutral sound, sports/fitness, office and phone calls. The Jib True just edged it out in commute/travel with 7.6 over 7.5. According to rtings the JBL pretty much dominates the Jib True in all the categories but battery and noise isolation. Considering the $15 Skullcandy Jib True vs JBL Live 300, I am easily taking the JBL Live 300. I do like the Skullcandy and they are great earbuds at $15 sale. The Jib True reminds me of my Soundpeat$$ that I paid like $30.

Here is the older Slickdeals deal link for the JBL deal (74 thumbs up) a few days ago before it expired. There are some comments that could be useful. I highly recommend to check out rtings for an indepth review. I am loving the sound, control and stability. It does have some little cons that I brought up in the other thread. It is a steal at $38.

I have these, and while the sound is really good everything else about these is terrible. The Bluetooth pairing lacks the seamlessness of other bluetooth headphones and is unnecessarily difficult as a result. It only gets worse when you're trying to switch between devices. Also, the battery just stopped charging at some point so they're effectively useless now.

Unnecessarily difficult? If so you probably have issues with your phone. I use it with various 4 devices with no issues with Bluetooth. Right now I just turned on 4 devices (2 different model Motorola phones, Samsung phone and iPhone) and I swapped Bluetooth connecting between them all and they all work fine. Does it have the ability with multi-device pairing which means connecting to 2 devices at the same exact time? No but I don't feel the need to connect to 2 devices at the same exact time. It takes less than 5 seconds to toggle off Bluetooth on one device and toggle on for the other device to swap connection. I can just leave the buds in my ears. "Unnecessarily difficult"? Nope. The earbuds auto connect after you pull them out of the case to the phone too so you don't even need to tap that phone device among the list of devices.

Not sure why you would expect those features. The Samsung Galaxy Buds+ doesn't support multi-device pairing and nfc pairing as well. According to rtings, they graded the JBL with a 6.7 Bluetooth score and the Samsung Galaxy Buds+ with a 6.8 Bluetooth score. I feel they are identical in bluetooth performance as well.
My apple Airpods 2nd gen also got 6.8 Bluetooth rating and doesn't have the multi-device pairing and nfc pairing as well. The difference is popping the case lid open vs pulling out the earbuds. Not big difference at all. Did you hate the Samsung Galaxy Buds+ Bluetooth connection as well? I found them to be pretty much identical just as with rtings grading with their Bluetooth grade with JBL having the better distance in line of sight connection and the Samsung with the better audio latency.

My JBL Live 660NC over the ear headphones has the ability with multi-device connections (connect to 2 devices at the same exact time), has 335 line of sight distance and was graded with 8.3 Bluetooth score. I really don't care much about connecting to 2 devices at the same exact time. Lets not forget that this is a $38 sale earbud deal (retail launch $150). Those special Bluetooth features are for the lot more expensive devices. My JBL Live 660NC was $99 sale with retail launch $200. Samsung Galaxy Buds+ didn't even have those features and it had $150 launch price as well. Airpods 2nd gen had a $159 launch price.

Do these sound better than any of the Vankyo earbuds? Last year I bought the Vankyo Alpha N10 for running (when they did sell them) and I like the Noise Cancelling and Pass-through/Transparency modes. You can listen to either earbud while the other one is in the case and has wireless charging and they last 5+30 hrs. But I'm assuming these JBLs will sound a LOT better? Thanks.

Got these in the mail. The only other wireless earbuds I have that uses a clamshell charging case is the Skullcandy Sesh Evo. I like the sound on these JBLs better. They sound much more clear than the Evos. The touch controls are also nice compared to hard buttons. So far, the only cons are that out of the box, I wasn't able to control volume or go back a track. I had to download the app and set it up. Besides, that, I don't have any complaints with its size or comfort. They sound find with rock, rap, EDM, and the Encanto soundtrack.

First of all, not sure why you would get so offended over someone else's poor experience with these. They literally stopped charging.

As for the ther comments you made:
- Bluetooth pairing: these were being used with a Samsung Galaxy S10 which worked perfectly until I upgraded.
- Simultaneous pairing: why are you assuming that's what I wanted out of these? Nowhere did I say that my pairing issues were because I was trying to pair with multiple devices.
- Comparing to other headphone models: you assumed I have other headphones but lucky for you I do. I have Jabra Elite 65t, Samsung Galaxy Buds+, Galaxy Buds Pro, Sony WM-1000XM4. All of them paired better with my devices and the Samsungs actually switch between devices very well.
- Sale price: Sure it's a good price but that doesn't matter if the battery on the case is going to stop working. Also at this point this is a 2 year old model and I would probably recommend the Jabra Elites over this, and those go on sale all the time.

Before you spend 20 minutes responding to someone who was noting their personal experience, ask yourself if you're just trying to prove a point no one asked you to.

I have a Samsung phone (Galaxy A71 5G) and it works perfectly fine in pairing. It has AUTO PAIRING. When I open the lid, it automatically pairs to the JBL Live earbud. I have a blue pair and a black pair. They both automatically pair when I flip the lid open. They also show the remaining battery life. I don't need to go into the bluetooth settings and tap the specific device to pair.

Make sure your bluetooth is on. Make sure you don't have ear wax blocking the charging connectors.

As for the Jabra Elite 75t? I don't see new Jabra Elite 75t which has a low 6.8 neutral sound sell for $38. I see new ones list for $80 on the list of slickdeals. That is way too much. I am not interested in refurbished either. The 85t best deal is refurbished $68 and that was in March 2022. No real sales for new ones on the 85t according to slickdeals. Apples vs oranges in price comparison. I wouldn't take the Jabra Elite 75t over the JBL but I would take the Jabra Elite 85t over the JBL but the problem is that it has never ever sold for $38.

Interesting that you joined in Sept 2020 and you only 2 posts.
