Ah, the truth comes out! Someone just tapped the RCA outs and brought it to the front and called it done. This is wrong as the RCA out typically has high impedance in the order of 100 ohm we see here. That high impedance causes a ton of power loss as we see in the 33 ohm test. And rules out using vast majority of headphones out there as it will interact with their impedance and change their frequency response (tonality).

Check out the Audio Science Review of this. It seems like the headphone jack is "just slapped in there" and causes some issues with tone.
I wouldn't touch this with a 10 foot pole - lousy reviews, a price that fluctuates wildly according to the 3C's. Plenty of reviews talking about how it failed within a short period after purchase. Avoid at all costs.

That review was of the 1.1 version, the sale is on the 1.3 version. I can't see any reviews of the new version, but perhaps the new version has a better headphone setup

Upgraded Version 1.3 DS600 HiFi DAC added two current amplifier chips of BUF634, now you can use it as a headphone amp (can drive headphones 16-150 Ω).

This is a really good DAC for the price. Just don't buy it for the headphone jack. Speaking of the performance. Can't comment on reliability over time

This is a DAC (Digital to Analog Converter) it changes your digital music source (usb, optical, Bluetooth…) to an analog source (rca & 3.5mm headphone). To use with speakers you'll need a separate amplifier. It's primary use case is to update old amplifiers to allow a digital signal.

TLDR; this dac will probably sound better than the v20 but you probably won't hear much of a difference without an audiophile setup.

I haven't heard this DAC but I do have the V20 & V30. You'll find on those phones if you play music using the 3.5mm headphone jack you will get much better audio out of it than Bluetooth, this is because of the DAC built into it. Many reddit audiophiles believed that any dac is good enough, which is why they suggest an apple dongle (lightning to 3.5mm). I have found this isn't necessarily case. Some Dac chips sound better, like the highly regarded Infineon chip. The LG V phones have what I consider a good mid grade dac and sound perfectly good with anything you'd feel comfortable plugging in a 3.5mm jack into. This 1mii is a step up in DAC quality but in order to really hear the difference you'll need an audiophile setup and even then the sound characteristic may not suit your ears.

I like the part where these audiophile nerds pretend like they buy a DAC for the headphone capabilities.

Worthless add-on? Sure. Affects the actual performance of the DAC to the RCA outputs? No.

DACs are a mature technology. The one inside your phone is as good as the one in a $200 overpriced piece of audiophile equipment is as good as the one inside your toaster. Do not buy DACs.
It's not just about DAC technology. The components used and the design affect the quality of the sound you hear.
