Ok so this involves the infamous Home Depot " Hack" Have seen a few naive people here that have convinced themselves that this "hack" is fraudulent and we're all committing sins and likely will go to hell when we die. To all you folks, you failed to realize Home Depot has been offering this hack for years, and they still continue to this day have that option available. If this was not intentional and they're losing tons of money on people utilizing the hack, they'd shut it down ASAP, cancel all orders that hacked them and send warning messages along with the cancellation email. Yet they've done nothing of the sorts, but continue to still offer it. What does that hell you then? Sorry guys had to get that out of the way .

This hack is just like the test of them add the 3 tool combo drill, driver and wrench to your cart.
Im doing so, you should get a popup that says you get a free tool, takes you a page with 4 listed tools for you to choose from, pick the $149 Ratchet and click add both to cart.
Then if you go to your cart, you'll see the adjusted price of $253.70 for the 3 tool combo.
The key here is to select to have the 3 tools shipped to your home, it's free. Then select to have the ratchet picked up in store. If it's not available at your store, you can pick one that I'd available there.
Then checkout and pay for both, but right after that go back into your online account and cancel the ratchet. Just wait for your 3 tools to be shipped.
Normally just the stubby alone with battery and charger is around $250, here you're betting an extra battery, Fuel Impact Hammer Drill and Fuel Impact Driver for free basically. You can sell the drill & driver for $70-100/each depending on whether you're including the batteries and charger or not. End up paying like $50-70 for the Stubby. The listings on Fleabay that selling an open box/new, some might have done this hack as well, that's been me quite a few times.

Here's what your cart should look like :

Some of you are doing it wrong. First, you have to add the combo (by itself) to the cart, and then navigate to the tool-only page to add the "free" tool.

Second, you can ONLY cancel individual item when you are on the web browser FULL SITE only . Not in the app or mobile web page.

NEVER add the free tool when you are in the combo page! DO NOT use the button "Free gift with purchase" to add your free tool.

Did this to the letter and the site will NOT let me cancel just the ratchet. I have never been able to get the hack even one time. I thought that maybe this time would be different, waste of time for me.....again!
Don't add from the prompts.. manually pull up and add the 2 items. Discount will still show up.

Same deal works for this 2 tool combo. Follow the same exact instructions on top and the total for Hammer Drill & Impact Driver combo comes out to $138.73.

AND go back to the CART to change the Deliver Home for the ratchet to Store Pickup. I had to do that to cancel it separately from the combo kit.

Is this better than OP's deal? I thought his included a extra stubby and also 1x M12 REDLITHIUM 2.0 compact battery pack, 1x M12 REDLITHIUM XC 4.0 extended capacity battery pack.

They both have the same batteries from what I can see. It's just the 3/8 impact wrench for the extra $115ish.

I just tried this hack and within seconds someone slapped me in the face and said shame on you, you're going to hell.

But seriously, I've done other hacks recently, no guilt, no shame, it's perfectly legit and HD knows about it, obviously. Relax, they'll do ok.

And how the hell did this thread get OT? A tool thread going poli? Yeah, I don't want to know. It was rhetorical.

compared with ryobi P237 impact driver/P215 1 Drill/Driver , which one is better?
Pretty sure that the Milwaukee blows away every other brand in all the testing ive seen, at least with the impact wrench

Probably the same with the drill/driver but it may not matter for most use cases. The impact wrench differences matter more

I've always had to do it the other way around. The one I actually want to keep as store pickup, the one I cancel as shipped. You just have to cancel within 5 minutes or something like that. Or set them to pick up at different stores, and cancel the one you don't want.

Well.. I actually need a ratchet and batteries + charger, not the impacts... Any suggestions on a deal for my case?

Milwaukee is the high end. Ryobi is the low end, on par with craftsman brand, and a tad better than harbor freight.

I though 18V is more powerful than 12V.

I was comparing like to like. The M12 stubby is far more powerful than any other 12 volt wrenches according to all the testing I've seen.

The 18 volt wrenches should be stronger than a 12 volt, but then they are far more bulky and harder to get into tight spaces like the m12 stubby can

I understand now .
I just need driver/drill tools. I prefer 18V ryobi over 12V milwaukee. And looks like 18V ryobi tools are cheaper than 12V milwaukee tools.
