I have these all over my house and have zero problems with them.
These work fine with my Alexa.

Any creative uses for these? I bought 2 and they're still sitting in the packaging. Thanks and reps.

Others have mentioned a couple things, but I use them a lot at Christmas time for multiple different lights/decorations in the house. Put them all in one group called Christmas lights and schedule them on and off. Also use it for kids nightlight, stays in till midnight or so then shuts off. I've used it to time the start of a dumb crockpot. I put one on a couple game consoles to have them off at a certain hour. (the kids haven't figured out to turn it on yet.) and I have multiple lamps on them so I can use Alexa to turn on lamps. All sorts of uses.

Automatically turn lights on/off while out of town, depending on your coffee maker, potentially make it into an automatic in the morning, control lights/other things from other places in your house 🤷

Mine are all on lights at this point - turn them on before I get home, etc.

I used one for my Xmas lights with no issue.... But they're definitely not rated for it 👍

TP Link makes a separate device that's rated for outdoor use. It has two controllable outlets.

I have these and several of the older, chonkier ones. These are mostly reliable, but occasionally I'll have one or two of the new ones drop off the network periodically.

I do have 26 devices on my 2.4GHz network, but my Ubiquiti AP should be good for 10x that.

Is there a remote switch that would work with this? I'd like to plug in a lamp to this in a room that has no lights and have a switch at the entrance of the room. I know you can do it on the app but it would be for senior citizens that are technically challenged.

You can plug them all into each other in series. And for the load maybe a smart gun safe. Disable the physical on/off switch by etching off the lead on the pcb. May also want to disable the physical key lock as well for added security. Thia will enable the on/off of each smart outlet and gun safe to operate only by your custom IFTTT for each of the 4 smart outlets. So if you ever need to get to your firearms or w/e you decide to put in the smart safe you'll have to say the 4 custom phrases in sequence to your Smart Speaker.

You can wall mount an old Android Phone that has the App running where the original light switch is. Or a smart speaker with the trigger name renamed to each of the spouse's first name/nick name. Ie; "Mama, turn on kitchen light."

You can use a smart speaker or a regular app, does not have to be unique or special in any way.

Extra $6 off shows up when I'm not logged in, but goes away when I am. Guess I already used this for something or am no eligible.
