This is why I question buying games. Between Prime and Epic + bundling sites, either games I want will be free or all inclusive of DLCs for a fraction of the cost. And with a backlog 80+ deep just on PC alone… I could certainly wait.

PvZ looks potentially interesting. Oblivion is solid - had on Xbox 360 before selling. Have heard a little about Turnip Boy and was just talking about a typing game for my 1st grader - assuming it is kid friendly? Haven't looked at it at all yet.

Loved Oblivion, I came across it about a year before skyrim came out. I was baffled by the size of the game. Trolls are very different in this one.

I waited to get cyberpunk until it was less than $30. I enjoyed it. I don't expect it to be on prime or epic free games anytime soon. Same with death stranding.

And now I want to play elden ring, but I'm not going to pay $50 for it, despite the good reviews. I have barely played red dead redemption anyway.

Even for $30, I would still wait. There are exceptions, but I try to hold off on PC games until the $5-10 range. I will totally preorder a game on a slight discount from time to time, but 95% of PC games…$5 is my goal on waiting.

It's not a bad idea.
I've got no shortage of games, with likely several thousand I haven't even tried yet.
and aside from those games, I've been stuck on a F2P MMO for the past few years anyway.

but I've gotta make time to finish the latest doom, so I can free up some hard drive space.

It seems like a good game but I got distracted by other games as I got Oblivion late only after Skyrim as part of the Legendary Edition. To this date I still haven't finished it. It's not the game is bad just that I got distracted by too many newer games that looked better graphically. No fault of it as Oblivion was definitely top notch at the time it was released. Would be nice if they would do a remaster of it like they did for Skyrim.

I initially thought I was going to wait until the price drops to play Elden Ring but decided to get it using my overtime pay as a reward to myself for the extra hours. It also helped a bit when GMG had it for 45. Surprised to find how addictive Elden Ring is, it is by no means perfect but probably the most addictive RPG in 2022 so far. I suspect given how many free games are being given away I might never play it until 2025 at least if I waited.

Prime Gaming this month IMO is mediocre as usual but I do not expect them to give away too many new AAA games every month...maybe we would get something better as Black Friday/Christmas gifts by late 2022.

Had never heard of legacygames before. Not sure a hidden object game is worth another login to keep track off. Poor site seems to barely be able to handle the load.
