I was actually looking forward to this but at this price point, I was disappointed with the quality. There were obvious places that they skimp out on that you have to buy a third party kit to fill up. The Jetfire was cheaper than this but felt way better in quality. If you have not experienced a better quality TF, it's not too bad but once you have a good third party TF, you'll feel the plastic quality differences. Regardless just my opinion as a collector.

Yeah I miss the old original heavy plastic and metal TF. The kids today are really missing out.

You can't even buy a GI Joe air craft carrier in the store any more! Smilie

If you are talking about newest Jetfire from War for Cybertron Siege, it's fantastic. Dude is big and has two separate robots modes, one matching his G1 cartoon appearance and another matching the G1 toy.

It's been a few years since it released and it can go for two to three times it's original retail price these days.

About the Autobot Ark it's got a great vehicle mode and the robot mode is a call back the the old Marvel comics "Last Autobot". It comes with Teletraan I which is it's own "Deluxe" size figure which goes from robot to computer station.

At $130 it's a solid buy, it definitely felt a little lacking at it's normal $160 price.

I had that Jetfire but returned it because I felt I didn't really want it. Now I regret it.

Got this when it south of a $100 on Walmart and I would say it's barely worth that in terms of build quality. But for the nostalgia sake, had to keep it and it now displayed right behind Jetfire (mentioned above) and Optimus Prime (Power of the Primes). Now that later stands above all of them in terms of sculpt, quality, and poseability. And it transforms into the only existing Orion Pax figure that I know of. And has a chest opening to house the Matrix. I would get that all over again over this.

Agreed! I have the shattered glass version Jetfire, it's such a sweet build:

It's a little pricey, but I definitely considered it a better buy than the Ark.

Also something for the OP to consider - I tried to price match my EE Ark order with a cheaper price on Walmart and they never responded, even though they had a 110% price match policy. So keep that in mind if you care about customer service. I won't order from these guys again for this reason alone.

It's incredible how accurate to the cartoons they are making these remakes. I had the original G1 Jetfire toy and, while I loved it, was so disappointed that it looked nothing like the cartoons. Even the "man-spreading" stance looks amazing.

Looks great and I love that he comes with a new version of Mainframe, but I wish I could find Siege Jetfire, Skylynxe or Omega Supreme for a good price.
