I would say they are in the same level so more a lateral move rather than upgrade.
It may be considered an upgrade based on sound signature preference though.
Edit: The 225's aren't very efficient so people may find they will need more power to get them to their potential.
Don't let that be the deciding factor. I think the Wharfedale has a warmer sound and JBL a little brighter. It's a subjective decision depending what type of sound you prefer.

I completely agree, which one sounds better to someone is completely subjective and those specs won't tell anyone which one they should pick IMO.
