The Gaggia classic is a entry level espresso maker and you can get really good shots with it. I have one, an older version.

It used to be the only worthwhile entry level machine at the typical price point. For espresso alone, this is a great price.

For milk drinks, steaming milk is a super pain to do well with the classic.

What other comparable entry level makers would you recommend?

Very tempting since my Crossland is overheating and has a valve leak.

Damn it was just looking at it all week long!
Has anyone used Touch Of Modern before? I feel like I've heard of them but the price is quite lower than CCC shows it has ever been.
I haven't used them, but i would wager that the "I feel like I've heard of them" is because their name is so similar to All Modern, a fairly big and legit site you probably have heard of.

I bought a Breville Bambino (not the Bambino plus which is "worse"), and it is amazing. I use Gaggia at my work and the milk frothing is a pain.

Didn't TOM used to have TV commercials with flamethrower gloves and glowing storm cloud lights and stuff? I feel like that is how I know about it.

I recently bought the brevelle bambino plus after lots of research on small footprint espresso machines for apartment living. This one came up as a consistent contender and has very good reviews. Given the bambino is typically $500 if I were buying today I would go with this one at this price point. The reviews were consistently 8 or 9 out of 10 for espresso machines in this price range.

I have bought numerous things from touch of modern and have never had a single issue. They send tracking numbers with every order. I haven't had to return anything so I can't speak for that process though.

For people unaware of this site, just wanted to share my exp. I've bought from TouchofModern before in the past (3+ years). Only had an issue with a product once, that was tagged as a "no returns" product. Support was very responsive and sent a replacement.

Low end Lelit are an option. The lowest end are out of stock here, but there are some sale options:
