The way he came in like Kanye at an Awards show I'm guessing he doesn't even know what's for sale. I have an uncle like that, he has a brain injury from a midget toss in Tallahassee a few years back, just busts in rooms yellin about shit that happened in the 80's
My email from Walmart this morning says that was a lie

I just think it's funny how much people talk about GamePass being a huge success. It's only "wildly successful" within the confines of people who already own an Xbox. It isn't really bringing everyone to the console though, because Xbox still doesn't have the exclusives to draw people in. Also, once again, many games run better on PlayStation, even though the Xbox has more power. Which is what happened somewhat frequently between the PS4 Pro and One X.
Even with GamePass, PS4 outsold the Xbox One by a 2:1 ratio, and the PS5 has already sold over 5 million more units than the Series X and S. Sony really doesn't need a GamePass, but Spartacus (whatever it'll officially be called) will just be icing on the cake. It can totally flop and the PS5 will still outsell Xbox by the end of this generation. History is on Sony's side. No Xbox has ever outsold a PlayStation. Even the PS3 outsold everyone's beloved Xbox 360.
I'm not saying GamePass isn't a good deal. Quite the opposite. However, it's not the behemoth success GamePass subscribers love to claim it is, because it's not convincing everyone to come over to Xbox.
Why are you talking about last gen? GamePass was only introduced late in that generation anyway, so any sales comparisons could only be used very late in the gen, by then it was onto this gen. Current gen Series X/S has outsold PS5 since December, and Sony has ONLY sold 5M more consoles, which is a much narrower gap than last gen, indicating a rise in popularity in Xbox over PS. Argue that PS has supply shortages, but if that shortage drove a consumer to purchase a Xbox, that's still a rise in popularity. No, this is exactly where Xbox should be if the measure is increasing market share. Future is bright for both platforms.
If you actually owned a ps5 you wouldn't spend your days reading random post history's. But good luck with your raffle.
I have a xbox from launch, don't see the need for both ecosystems. I don't read random posts, just ones I find interesting. You should check his out if you're a student of psychology. Fascinating.

Xbox sales are doing very well, especially the S in recent times, and that's undoubtedly because of Game Pass given that it's a digital only console.
As for XB1X vs. PS4, games tended to look better on XB1X. It was generally 1440p on Pro vs 1800p-2160p on XB1X. I owned both and tended to go with the XB1X version most of the time.
I hear you. As a married guy myself, 12 years now, I always had the mentality that I couldn't spend any money on impractical things like video games and had to make sure money went to things like food/clothing/etc.
The problem is that when you're only ever spending what you earn on just needs or just on what your family needs (or wants) - you may end up resenting them and feeling like you never get to enjoy yourself. So I always recommend married couples each budget discretionary funds they can to use for whatever they want each month. That way if want to you buy impractical things like a $500 console with your own funds, that won't affect the family - and you don't have to feel guilty.
And it's unrealistic of your family to expect you to spend every waking moment of your free time focused on them. Obviously, balance is needed, because you can't spend all your time playing games either.
What you are saying is true.
One of the most important jobs you can do as a father is to hold your family accountable and make them understand that there is a budget and that you work for them and also deserve nice things sometimes. You will be happier and a better person and they will be happier and better people.
They will actually understand, love and respect you more for this then being a doormat.
This is part of why immigrant and poor minority and white families are often so much closer and have more respect for thier parents and each other.
