I just talked to their chat it does not cover burn in
I called their customer service line and the girl gave me a price of warranty and went through what it covers. I asked few times and each time she said ya burn in is covered. Went into the store and the rep showed me 3 different pricing tiers. I asked him as well and he said ya the burn in would be covered. For 77" it was $300. Lol I'll try chat tomorrow to see what they say.

It was $300 for 3 year warranty. Came out to $2400 total with tax and warranty in California for the 77 inch.
Sales tax in california is only $100 for a $2000 TV? That doesn't sound right.

None of their warranties cover burn-in. They sell two warranties, a two year and a three year. The three year is accidental coverage and it covers the screen.

And unless you're watching/playing the same stuff all the time for a crazy amount of hours with high brightness/oled light, you're not gonna get burn-in in thee years

I am STILL baffled on how much people worry about burn in. Like its a for sure thing over a certain time period. To me its such a non issue since I have never at any point of my life had my TV on all day. It would take a thousand instances of that. Sure its nice to have in warranty, but I just dont get the craze of burn in discussion on every OLED thread. Seems like everyone is afraid lol. To me not something to worry about if its not gaming or news for 5+ hours a day.

I agree for brand new oled. However, this is a refurb, which means we don't know where it has been, could be from a store demo. I think that's why people want that assurance. Personally I would just avoid refurb and get a new one on verdetoe. Once you factor in warranty cost, the savings is very little, almost not worth the effort (and headaches if it arrives with burn in).

Not sure how I feel about a refurb for a 77 c1 unless I can get a burn in warranty. Anyone have any experience within these refurbs?
Bought the C9 when the refurb first popped up. Never had any issues and I consume alot of media and game on it.

Blame it on the media talk, when oleds first became mainstream every outlet spoke about burn in. Doesn't surprise me people are still scared, I got the refurb C9s back in what 2019 I think and have had no issues. My TV is in the bedroom on almost 24/7 between gaming and streaming.

Nothing. Just different part numbers for different stores so they can deceitfully avoid price matching.
half true. legally there has to be a physical difference, but all they'd need to do is say one has 10w speakers and the other 11w or something stupid.

24/7? Seriously, step away. It's safe to step outside and get some fresh air.

Wouldn't you see burn in right away? Not sure why you'd need burn in to be covered unless you plan on leaving a static image on the TV for hours on your own. These newer OLEDs are mostly idiot proof unless the user is negligent with it.

Tempted but we're looking to move this year. My 65 c7 is starting to get horizontal banding on it.

Thanks for reminding. I totally forgot my employer has that and where you can buy stuff through your paycheck 🙃
No worries. I'd sign up, and check the site every so often to see what deals are being offered. You can also set up alerts on Slickdeals with the following terms so you'll be notified of current deals "LG" "OLED" "Sony" etc. I'd use caution buying products through your paycheck because those prices are typically higher. When I worked for the cable company years ago, you could get an Xbox One bundle for ~$700. Definitely not worth it. Good luck!
