Hi there - I've accumulated quite a bit of Amazon giftcards over the past year or so, and ideally I'd like to make a purchase in a department store (better price, availability of what I'm looking for).
Is there a reasonable way to convert the Amazon giftcards into Visa, AmEx, store cards (without taking a 'haircut' so to speak)...
Ex. ~$1,034.75 Amazon giftcards would yield (5) $200 Visa giftcards as it is $200 +$6.95 (total $206.95) or $1,000 in Visa giftcards.(on Amazon.com)
It's a (-)$34.75 "loss" to convert. Whereas they are converted 1:1 to various stores. Ideally, I am seeking Williams Sonoma (Pottery Barn, West Elm group of brands) to purchase a super-automatic coffee machine.
