Amazon is selling the Samsung S80A 27" 4K Monitor for $248.16, which likely is the lowest price in 12 months without perks at works discounts. The monitor's features include:
HDR10
USB C
Built in USB hub
Speakers
IPS panel
I purchased it last week via Samsung via perks at works for $235, but if you don't have access to such a program, this is a great deal. I'm still waiting for my monitor.

I have 4 of these 27" S80UA in my house. It took, me a while, but I finally realized there is a model WITH speakers and a model WITHOUT speakers. The model from Amazon (UNN) has speakers and the model from Samsung (UJN) does not. I ended up with 2 of each and just rearranged them where I needed speakers. As far as I can tell, the panels are identical.
As far as the monitor goes, I struggle to believe there is better value on the market currently. The speakers are excellent, panel is bright and saturated, and the quality is very good. The only downside, and I suspect why the price is low, is that some people consider 4K overkill on a 27" display so people don't want to overpay for it. Windows scaling handles that issue nicely though by enlarging the fonts and icons.
Windows pretty much mastered scaling except for older applications (like Photoshop CS6). On Linux it is a nightmare (also depends on which DE you might use. I struggled with LXDE, KDE seems better). MacOS I heard it if fine as long as you're using the same scaling factor on all monitors.
This is my concern. I don't think I need 4K on 27". Would have been happy with 1440p (which might be cheaper), or 4K at 32". Plus there might be scaling problems. Indeed a great price if all the specs fit your use case especially with USB-C input.
I've not seen a monitor that has nice, loud speakers as this one (except maybe the new Apple Studio Display). All that for $250 is a dream. Even if you don't need all those features now, you might later!

Delivery time is 3-4 weeks, though.

According to Amazon reviews, many people ran into quality issues. 4.1 review rating is considered fairly mediocre on Amazon (they really should curve the reviews to demonstrate the difference between better and worse products. I wouldn't consider products below 4 and without seller manipulation, 4.5 and higher are solid). I'm on the fence…

Thanks for the clarification. The extra $13 for built-in speakers is worth it. Too bad it ships in a month or two or I'd order it. The whole reason I like this monitor is USB C. I'm looking to reduce clutter on my desk which is only 31 inches wide and my work PC is USB C powered, so I can connect with one cord.
The average star rating is useless and easy to manipulate- the comments are where you might find real feedback.
