Hey now, what is this?

Edit: Looks like the Xe Max Graphics are a bit of a waste, they aren't really better than the best implementations of the Xe 96 EU iGPU.

This seems super lame, but that's what I could find online as well. How it performs worse is beyond me.

But, everything I could find is at least a year old. Maybe intel fixed the drivers by now?

One good thing I'd imagine is that Xe Max is discrete, so it has its own memory and won't take from your system memory like the g7 integrated graphics does… But, it's slower 😂

What a s-show.

For gaming, even with the driver updates, xe MAX is still entry level, performing like a lower wattage (15W-18W) mx450. Where it shines is the video editing and encoding tasks which are heavily optimised for Quicksync like Adobe Premiere pro. Over there, it can use both the video engines of the integrated and dedicated GPU together to give you very nice boost, especially during playback and export. Check the Mathew Moniz review in YouTube to get a better understanding. For gaming, it's not at all good.
