Reviews indicate bare wire which can snap during setup.
So am thinking these can be used atmost for 1 season/year, hence staying away.

I bought these a month ago for my balcony. After setting them up, the lights were initially quite bright. Afterwards with each following day's worth of solar charging, the brightness kept getting fainter or more dim. I made sure that the small solar panel in the most optimal position for collecting sunlight. YMMV based on how you deploy these.

It may also depend on your location... i.e north in spring/winter will likely get a lot of intensity sunshine than in summer or vs southern states...
WOW!

This definitely must be a shill thread/post.

A lot of defending for a mediocre(at best) product

Lol... of all the shill sounding posts, this was the most benign. Lower hours of solar radiation during winter months in high (or low) latitude locations + low sun angle = less solar charging capabilities. These are literal facts of physics.

Posters claim is that FEBRUARY when initially Installed had Better performance in LESS Sun than now in MORE sun.
Nothing to do with comparing different geographical locations with different seasons. laugh out loud

I do not own this brand, but I own MANY of this type. I never had an issue with wires breaking. I wrap the wire around nails and they stay in place. So fair I only had a few of the typical Christmas type breaking in the wind, this type has never broken.

I leave them up year long in Massachusetts. They work really well, even in the winter. Obviously more sun makes them last longer, but placed right 9 hours of sun in December is enough for a few hours of light.

I wonder if I can rewire these to a USB plug in and use them in the attic/crawlspace to get some light along the entire length of the space. When I need them I can bring a battery pack and unplug when I leave.
They actually make Christmas lights that plug into a USB plug, they sell them every Christmas at Target and Walmart. They also sell them as these lights that you can change the plug from the solar light to a USB plug.

They also have these lightbulbs that are really nice too that you can plug a USB port in.

Trickle charging solar would imply that the battery may have arrived partially or fully charged, and as sunlight was unable to keep up with the daily current draw, it will continue getting more dim. Even if we're getting moderately more light this month.

Don't be a troll, and instead point out all the other shill like posts on this thread. Stop wasting your time fighting against actual logic and science.

We have a bunch of the wire lights like this around our house and they're great. Most last over a year. The wires do break, but it's generally not from lack of craftsmanship. The deer rub their antlers on the trees with the lights and break them, and now the geese are biting the ones that line the dock.

But I haven't seen Blue lights before, so we'll give them a try. Thanks OP!

Thank you for confirming what I said.

You just said in a different way that it's a crappy product and poorly designed. Using inferior Solar/battery that can't provide sufficient power. Applause

I guess you are not familiar with tech products...In this case, numerous reviews state that they failed upon receipt or shortly thereafter.

Squirrels bit through 3 of the strings of solar lights I put out for Christmas, so these should be fine for replacements. I have a plug in set that's the same as these and they're great. No timers or extension cords needed, so that's a plus. I toss the batteries that come with these and swap out regular duracells since I have loads from Office Depot deals, then throw those away and put the lights away with no batteries in them so they don't leak or corrode. They recharge just fine.

Not a deal. Just some guy trying to flip his Aliexpress shipment. Getting sick of the flea market nonsense around here.

I bought these bare-wire style LED's last year (not same brand/seller), they still work but its a pain to install it.

They get tangled so easily and you spend lot of time cursing yourself. Once it's all done, it sure looks pretty.
