Am I reading that right?
I notice very little difference between the M1 and the prior generation of Air CPU; however, we are always on FaceTime for the kids and their grandparents. CenterStage is a winner.
Really? What are good chargers and longer cables to go with this? One charger and one short cable are not sufficient for me.

You will notice the benefits of M1 chip more in long term OS support rather
The question was "what you should buy" and, as stated, everything needed is in the box. Personally, I just bought one USB cable to use in the car (without the piece that plugs into the outlet) and that's enough for my needs. Amazon offers accessories on the same product page and Apple 2 m cable is what I would buy, if I needed a longer one. I've heard recommendations to buy specifically Apple or "Apple certified" (or some such) cables because the off-brand ones could potentially damage the device. I've never fact checked this and it might as well be some Big Apple propaganda. But hey, I won't risk burning $$$ device to save 10 bucks on a cable.
The "good" longer cables are the ones that cost $13 and up MSRP. The "good" chargers are the ones that typically start at $20 MSRP. Look on here yourself for deals. SD has tons of them and often the commentary will give their opinions on the build/quality.
This is SD and we like to be frugal so the answer of what you "should" buy is basically nothing unless you want extras.

Battery is way better!
