Any discount on a level 2 charger is rare, especially UL listed brands… not sure if this one is but looks like a legit brand. It's frustrating that all these companies have jacked up their prices because they know consumers will buy at the inflated prices if they get rebates from their city…

I got this for $349.99 late last year. It was also on sale again earlier this year. I've been happy with it.

I bought the 14-50 40A version directly from EnelX during their Black Friday Sale. I purchased from them with PayPal, thus activating 5% back on my Freedom card. My utility granted a $500 rebate.

$525 + MI Sales tax = $556.5
5% back on total = $27.82
$500 rebate
30% Federal rebate = 157.5

So, $556.5 - $27.82 - $500 - $157.5 = -$128.82.

Feels good to be paid for the ability to charge my own vehicle.

This is a legit brand but overpriced, most cars can set charging schedules via an app, so don't need a smart charger. A Grizzl-E is what I have and most people recommend due to 3 year warranty. If you have a Tesla, just get a Tesla wall charger. And check local utilities, sometimes they have stupid huge rebates. And don't forget 30% rebate on federal taxes.

+1 for Grizzle-E. No non-sense, no frills charger. You can order a refurbished for additional discount and it comes with the standard warranty.

The 30% federal rebate ended in 2021. Thought it was worth the comment as others were mentioning the rebate with no details.

Which is kinda silly since it's basically just an extension cord and a relay with a tiny amount of logic to prevent over current.

Came here to say this.

Why bother with a stupidly expensive $4-500 passthrough box/extension cord..

Just install a 14-50 wall outlet. That's pretty much the same thing

Overpriced. Grizzl-E is still $200 cheaper.

Many people want to keep their mobile cord in the car, so they can charge in another location in a pinch. An extra replacement cord typically runs $400.

But I agree in general, it is smarter to just permanently mount the included 14-50 mobile charger to your wall and install an outlet.
