Not saying this is the same stuff but I bought some of their cheap mulch before and it looked like it was chipped up deck boards. My wife was finding chunks with various colors of stain/paint. It worked fine and got what I paid for.

Doh! Wish we had 'nards around here. About the lowest that Lowe's and Home Depot get in this area is 5 for 10.

100% worth paying the little bit extra for mulch at HD imo. I've bought from all 3 and Menards is the bottom of my list for mulch.

If you have had them you want no kind of wood to ground contact. The little bastards will eventually even eat treated wood.

It may not be looking good this year. Tractor Supply had the mulch sale last year on Scott's Colorscape at 5 for$10. This year the spring sale is 3 for $9.99. 60% increase in price.
