seems to be dead. I actually picked up the 2022 version fully upgraded. So far its a great laptop for work. I thought the lower screen was a gimmick but its actually quite useful for reference and for keeping other folders open while working.
I really like this idea but it never really took off.
I love this laptop.
I have the I7 with 32GB ram.
My only complaint is the brightness on the lower screen needs to be about 50% brighter because of the viewing angles but otherwise this thing is the best.

The i7 also has a gpu too though, right? That would make a major of difference.

Yes I think it does.
I got mine for about 1600 new over a year ago on a random newegg closeout sale, but the used good condition of this I5 8GB one is only 799 on Amazon and it's really tempting, but I need to buy the wife another machine and can't justify buying a "spare" until my backup surface book completely dies from abuse or natural causes (fingers crossed).
The vivo books are cool with the number pad but this thing is on a whole other level of productivity if you are into trading, coding, or live streaming.
That extra few inches at the bottom is really really handy even if you're just running YouTube music or a sports game down there.
It has some built in software features that allow quickly moving windows between the top and bottom screens and with just a hold and quick flick of the mouse you can move a screen from top to bottom and back instantly with the window position autolocked to either far right, far left, center, 2/3 right or 2/3 left, or full screen.
And it just flows with no lag whatsoever.
Just snappy and happy to do more, but of course I'm specced out, however I doubt I really need the I7 or the 32GB and I know for a fact I don't need the GPU cause there's not a thing I can tell you about it.
I run HDMI to my TV for an extra screen or use a MS cast device and I don't game at all.
Just saw a good deal for the specs I liked on a form factor I was lusting after.

Tbh, I just like the weirdness of it.
I was in love with the [funky Acer R7](https://www.pcmag.com/reviews/ace...7-571-6858) with the modified keyboard placement similar to this one years ago.
