The Overcooked 2 DLC is still about $15 total when on sale and if you like the base game, you WILL buy the DLC.
Not to mention, AYCE has been updated to use an upgraded engine with better graphics, mechanics, and full online play for both games. If you don't have a couch co-op partner, online is probably the first time you'll be able to beat the story mode.
