and I am very happy w/ it. i got the RP at christmas time a couple years ago (not sure if it was 1.5 or 2.5 years ago) brand new for 862 with the canon loyalty discount, at that time it was 20%. and i picked up the 24-105 L for 280 on offerup. i highly recommend the RP.

Canon loyalty program discount is still 20% for brand new unit and 10% for refurbished. Gald you liked it, mine hasn't shipped yet.

Hey what loyalty program? I've purchased a lot of my equipment from them never seen anything on it. I just googled it took me to a generic canon page.

I currently own the EOS RP From canon referb 1 year warranty for 899. GREAT price for new unit and and lens.

Call them and give Camera SN, for one time you will get 10% on refurb and 20% on new camera order. It's typically for upgrading from Old Canon to new Canon equipment.

I own one, don't buy one. I bought a Sony A7iii and it's so much better, worth the extra money. If you are staying with Canon get an R over this too, just don't get this.

Of course, R is double the price of RP and Sony is even more. No comparison.

Dynamic range is horrid, just not a great camera in general. I kept my Canon 16-35 L lens though, that's a great lens. After years of many Canons and Sonys and printing out a lot of my stuff I have found my Sony photos are much better. The only Canons I ever really liked was the 5D IV and the 80D.

The way I've heard it is it's basically the 6D given the mirrorless treatment, and misses out many of the useful features on the higher end rf cameras.
