i will get these but not at this price. the way jamo has sales on stuff, im expecting a 99 sale in the future
I bit the bullet and bought them. I looked up the past post on SC for these speakers and $180 was the cheapest. So, $177 is a tiny bit cheaper.
Also, Jamo is mostly sold by Adorama. When I bought my Jamo S803's from Amazon, it came in a Adorama box. I just checked Adorama.com and they do not even list these speaker. I would not hold my breath waiting for these to go on sale even lower. Adorama is the main place where Jamo goes on sale.
Would these work well as wall mounted speakers rather than sitting on top of floor standing speakers and bouncing sound off the ceiling?
If you have the Jamo s809, s807, and the s803, tower and bookshelf speakers, yes, you should be able to. The s809, s807, & s803 speakers have two connections in the back, please see the attached speaker pics of the s809 tower and s803 bookshelf. And yes, these S 8 Atmos speakers sit on top of the s809, s807, & s803 but I would think you could place them anywhere you want, all you need is long speaker wire.
I just order them so I'm not sure. But mine are going on top of my s803's.

They have to mount on the other speakers to receive power. If you're going to put something on the wall just get better cheaper speakers, trying to do a workaround wouldn't be worth it.

These do not have anyway to wire them up for that use as there is two metal posts in the feet that connect it to the top of specific compatible jamo towers/speakers.

Received my speakers yesterday and hooked them up without issues. And like everyone has said, you HAVE to mount the speakers on top of the Jamo s803, s807, or s809 (Bookshelf or towers) to power them. So far, they sound pretty awesome.
One issue is weight. I have bookshelf s803's and they are mounted on the wall. One of the mounts is not on a stud. To be safe, I put a L bracket under the speaker. for more support.
And anyone out there, with Jamo speakers and debating about getting these add on speakers, it's a YES!! These guys really added a lot of dept to my system!
