Agree. This doesn't seem that good. The MSRP has to be inflated, there's just no way.

Nothing of the Costco's AIO beat it. Taking a shot.

I don't really understand the appeal of an AIO like this.

Why would you buy this instead of a $400 laptop or maybe a $400 laptop connected to a $100 monitor ?

I don't wanna threadcrap, just don't understand AIOs..

I bought AIO for my parents once, mostly because price is right and smaller/ cleaner footprint. As for why not cheap laptop with cheap monitor, same reason it looks clunky, you need extra keyboard and mouse, I guess not as elegant some will say. Plus not sure about this T model cpu, my impression is most laptop equivalent of CPU is way slower than desktop equivalent. Purchasing electronic is not always best bang for the buck

I know some businesses prefer AIO's especially when they have limited spaces and they don't want to deal with any extra cables.

Correct. Somewhat niche but these are great in production/manufacturing scenarios where space is limited and you need a larger display. If the worker takes a shit on the keyboard, change the (full size, mind you) keyboard. I've no experience with this model but the higher-end lenovo think series are insanely easy to service, thermals are better, and they often perform better than a similarly-priced laptop (although you could probably do better with a low-voltage 11th gen i7 laptop in this case). T-series processors have been for quite a few years now a great compromise of performance and size between mobile and full desktop cpus.

This has no touch though, so loses a lot of appeal to me. If I wasn't concerned about touch but space was still an issue, I'd go with the Tiny / TIO lenovo combo due to serviceability. If you are supporting remote workers you don't want to have to ship them a a 15lbs box when replacing hardware, if it's avoidable. Or Dell makes an interesting built-into-the-monitor-stand solution that I have yet to try. Not sure how that fits into a mounted solution though.

Funny how their included keyboard is valued by -$3 if you chose not to buy it, and mouse is -$2. Basic support charge is also automatically included

This is more for a business, such as a casino terminal for workers or terminal station for warehouse workers. Giveaway #1 is the small screen and win 10 pro license.
In certain situations, the all in ones are great.

Very common business models are small business such as medical/dental offices. Also popular in school labs/libraries. I did IT consulting in the Small/Medium business for 15 years. These are very easy to replace under warranty for a non technical staff.

Umm. Well this is not as portable as a laptop. But I don't know any laptop that has the same screen size as this. These have built in webcam. This is for someone who doesn't have room for a tower
