I don't mean to bash China, but in shoes, especially containing leather Brazil is leagues apart in quality.
You may like them IF you never had the Brazil quality.

These used to be made in Brazil which has a great quality shoe industry tradition.

That said, Brazilian leather shoes are usually excellent quality at discount vs Italian for an instance. In this area China vs Brazil is no contest.

This is about the same price I paid at Macy's a few years ago which would still be great had my dog not got ahold of them. May try them and if quality stinks (likely) return em'.
