This is a great price. But I would encourage anyone to look up play throughs/reviews. This game is very pretty by my wife and I found it to be very unrewarding . If you like abstract games like chess, this might be for you, but compared to many other board games this is just a looker and leads to more frustration than fun.

Just one opinion. If you love the game, please disagree and tell me why.

It's really thinky, but not in a satisfying way. It's very abstract strategy that is in the end not very fun to me.

love this game. However, Photosynthesis is not a party game, this is a very strategic game (abstract with a theme, but euro strategy like). every time when we play it, people keep silent, and spend more time thinking. if you want a more relaxed abstract game go get Azul or Santorini

This is a great price. But I would encourage anyone to look up play throughs/reviews. This game is very pretty by my wife and I found it to be very unrewarding . The game concept is neat. You toss out a seed and if the sun shines on it it grows. Each time the sun hits it it grows. But the sun rotates around the board and your friends are bastards and they will steal up all the light.

Fun game but like mentioned, check a YouTube play to see if it looks like a game. I've owned it almost since it came out but we've only played it a few times. We like it but other games are usually picked before photosynthesis

I canceled my order based on this review. I imagined exactly that, play it 2 or 3 times then never again. I've got 25-30 games, including quite a few I've yet to open, so this would likely be repeatedly passed up.

Good price. For hardcorish strategy players it's a good game. Played with different groups and couldn't get anyone to really love it. Nothing to do when it's not your turn. It's very pretty and can be fun in fast thinking groups!

This is a decent filler game - unique mechanics, but not something that really grabbed me. It's pretty and looks great on the shelf though.

Really like this game. I don't find it overly abstract. It makes sense thematically. You plant seeds and try to avoid having your trees blocked out from the sun's rays by your opponents. Nice looking game and is fairly unique.

True, it's not a casual game like Catan. And it's not a party game. But it's not a brain burner either. As for what to do on other people's turns, I'm normally thinking about the best possible placement for my next move.

I hated this game.

Not for noncompetitive players or people who likes friendly or co-op games. This game involved planting tall trees that other people will cast shade on your little plant. Can sometimes feel like everyone gang up the areas near you and you just sit there waiting for the game to end because there's no comeback after that
