PlayStation Plus Extra

Ok sorry in advance, but I have PS Plus active until June/July, I have a card that I bought for PS Plus and PS now and was waiting to redeem. If I redeem both with I get two years? Or is it better to redeem just one, the PS now since that'll have the highest tier and then I can redeem the regular subscription next year or something? Thanks in advance for the help!
