Bought this because I used to play piano for years and wanted to get back into it. I have a smaller MIDI controller/analog-synth but never use it because there are too many steps between inspiration and sound. This is simple and has a recording function so you can practice an idea and remember it. Some of the voices are less annoying than others, and the percussion voices and rhythms are acceptable. Write down the options you like so you can find them again easily - it defaults to piano on power-up.
Nothing produced by this instrument will be suitable for recording or performing, but it's an acceptable tool for learning, composing and practicing.

If you want to learn and have a decently spec'd laptop or desktop and space for a 61 key keyboard near it, I would highly recommend skipping the very cheapest keyboards and instead buy any 61 key usb midi keyboard. You will then use software on your computer to play virtual instruments, which could be sampled or synthesized instruments and effects that may be free and will be far, far better sounding, more interesting, and inspiring than this.

If you don't have space and just want to turn it on and go then this is okay.

I like this product. My only complaint is that the minimum volume is still too loud for me. I have to wear headphones to keep my room quiet.

Honestly the chair and stand are decent enough that you'd pay more for the same just for those two items - everything else is basically free.

Thanks! I literally just started to look for a cheap keyboard to just begin playing and learn on yesterday and this more than fits the bill.

Got one! My husband has been wanting to get our 2.5 yr old a piano, this is great way to start and teach her the basics and go from there. No way was I going to buy an actual piano for a 2.5 yr old! My husband is crazy --but he loves his little girl, hahaha, so i guess that's all that matters. β˜ΊοΈπŸ˜‡

Do the bench and stand come in a separate box from the piano? Am thinking about giving the piano away but keeping the other two items

I bought this the last time it was on sale. What a bargain! My son can now play piano in his room vs playing on the large piano and having the sound reverberate the whole house! Love it! Very compact and comes with headphone and mic.
