do not buy this, maybe you'll get lucky but I had to return two for buttons you needed hulk strength to press, cassette players that dont align correctly and cant play among other poor manufacturing issues.

FYI: The specs for this Insignia's cassette audio is weak with noise reduction.

This Insignia cannot take advantage of Dolby HX, Dolby SR, Dolby C, Dolby S, DBX or high bias recording tapes.

This could be a deal killer for some. Anyway, if you buy this I would not rush out and brag about this tech to your online crew.

It's a $40 boombox that has cassette player along with a CD player. What did you expect? Even back when cassette players were the norm you wouldn't expect that on a $40 boombox. Now, it's a niche item, you can't really expect that for $40.
