What you want to do is look at the specs of this phone and find the bands that it is capable of using.
Then Google your carrier and see what bands they use. You can typically find a coverage map that will show you which bands are most prevalent in your area and as long as this phone has those bands you'll be fine.
If you use tmobile, then you definitely want to check this info out because I doubt this phone has band 71, which is exclusive to tmobile and a lot of people get their LTE and 5g service over band 71.
Once the phone is unlocked after 60 days, you can use it on any carrier you want but you want to make sure you have the correct bands for your carrier, otherwise you may get poor reception.

I would suggest you wait to see someone tries it on t-mobile (after unlocking) and confirms it has VoLTE provisioned on t-mobile.

Good info! I live in the country and looked at the metro coverage map. As of now, no 5g here. In nearby areas, a few miles away, it is available. This phone does appear to have band 71 but is not 5g capable. The Moto Stylus 5G model is.
