Orient is a well-known and highly respected brand in the horological community. They and Seiko are basically the reason that the Swiss do not control the entire watch industry.

Orient is part of the Asian watch community that goes toe to toe with the Swiss in higher end and quality watches in the more mainstream line.

this is screw-down much better than PnP, i approve the deal.

I have no luck at all changing batteries in pnp's I avoid them anymore. Seem's like a good deal for a sapphire crystal, anyone have any experience with this brand? Might be interested in a green dial unit.

I didn't love my Orient Explorer. It would gain about 5 minutes a day, so it needed constant resetting.

Tempting, but I was unlucky with an Orient Aviator that started stopping at random. Couldn't find anyone to take a look at a cheap automatic.

Is there any deal with an open case back orient? I know diver watches should have closed case back but, I like everything about the design but want a case back to marvel at the automatic mechanism.

I'm looking to add a starter automatic with open case back to my collection. This one almost checks all the boxes.

Solid watch - get the bracelet version and buy an aftermarket rubber strap

Ah I stand corrected - bracelet is chincy folded end links and stamp metal clasp huh? Well not sure I would advocate for a $100 aftermarket for a $175 watch but I've done dumber things. Get the rubber band and swap in a 3 ring Zulu - good to go
