One of the greatest thing about old/still grandfathered in checking was that they refunded EVEREY ATM fee, no matter where it was withdrawn. Once, I went to Vegas and withdrew from ATM with 19.99 fees and they were all immediately refunded.

This is the weirdest thing, literally 5 minutes ago they sucked me in and I applied and was approved for their credit card. It finally had a sign up bonus and I don't have a 2% card. Their stuff is really good

This Slickdeals reward is very YMMV. I've opened a ticket with them cause mine showed up as ineligible. Be prepared to earn this reward with lots of back and forth.
Please include a screenshot of the confirmation email you received upon opening your account, a screenshot of your initial deposit showing the amount and date deposited, and the email address used to open the account.

It is now resolved. The points are pending. I will stand by my critique, but I will also apologize for said critique. While I think it is true, I also believe that slickdeals is trying to do the right thing and has solved my situation.
To anyone else reading this: I got my bonus from slickdeals for 75. I am also staying with SoFi because their interest rate is solid. It may be a bit bumpy getting the bonus but it is not scam. I honestly recommend you pray Plaid works, but I will also say that Plaid is trash and nobody should use it. Again, slickdeals support is legit.

Just be aware if you need liquidity.
Proper bill pay frequency.
Rather than attempting to "pull" funds from Discover to Sofi using Plaid (which failed for the reasons you stated), I adding my Sofi account as a transferee in my Discover bank account, and then used ACH to "push" funds from Discover to Sofi.
My promo credited without issue. Hope yours does too.
Are you saying that pushing funds from 1 acct counts towards the 5k dd requirement?
