Literally arrived back from Mykonos (a short trip north) yesterday and the place is heavenly. Santorini has a different flavor but still similar to Mykonos; if you haven't been to a Greek island do it if you can. Get a private tour on your first day around the island as they can show you all the cool places and then use an ATV to get around - just amazing!!

Greece probably has one of the more lax restrictions in Europe - be vaccinated as you don't know all the types of peeps you'll encounter. Their big summer rush (of people from around the world) will be winding down and I could potential see an increase of cases but if your vaccinated you should be fine. Just be VERY mindful of the connecting city (London) and the restrictions of the UK. If you can make it though the UK, you easily can go to Greece (assuming their aren't exponential increases of cases).

Mamma Mia, of course.... except that was on a different Greek island, not Santorini.

How is this front page?
I just paid $1500 each for Greece (during July/August though) out of Charlotte so $559 is a steal! Especially this year.

I have considered doing a Wiki post about the warnings of Expedia since they're not reputable and have over 7,300 complaints filed and a 1.05 rating out of 5. Since they're a paid member of the BBB, they got an A+ which is par for the course. BUT my biggest complaint is why Serra (SD staff) continues to not provide the link to American Airlines or other airlines about 97% of the time (except the ones that Expedia doesn't sell like Southwest, etc.). Well, I do know why. American doesn't pay the affilate fee and on SD, it's not about consumer protection, it's about money and zero ethics.
SD not really the place for deals. try dollar flight club

I would advise being careful with Expedia. Last year one of my flights was changed by the airline twice; the first time, Expedia said everything was fine and, when I checked with the airline, it was. The second change Expedia said was fine, but when I checked with the airline they did not have a ticket for me. I phoned Expedia and they put me on hold for 30 minutes while they talked to the airline, then Expedia said it was okay. I checked with the airline, and they still had no ticket for me. I called Expedia again and they reassured me it was okay. Well, when I got to the counter at the airport to come home they had no ticket for me. I had to wait while the airline clerk phoned the airline, then Expedia, and finally I got the ticket after about 45 minutes.
Also, a friend just had a problem where their flight was cancelled and Expedia said, "Sorry, not our fault. No refund."
I will never use Expedia again due to my personal experience.
I had to fight with them for hours to get a legitimate refund for a flight that was canceled. Hours of my life that solidified me to never use them again.
