I think this is the same as the standard wireless Arctis 1. Works fine with any USB device, including PS4, PS5, PC, Switch, Android, Chromebooks, etc. Does not work wirelessly with Xbox, only wired.

I have two standard ones and like them for using across many devices. There's a mute switch (not button) which is handy for muting during meetings. One issue is that it still charges over micro USB, even though the receiver is USB type-C (with additional standard USB adapter/wire included to plug in to other devices).

There is an Xbox version of the Arctis 1 which has a different receiver with a switch to toggle between standard and Xbox. Sounds like just getting the Xbox receiver won't allow this to be used wireless with Xbox though.

Would using a blue tooth usb dongle make this wireless for Series X??

I already bought, so I might just buy a dongle anyways and find out if nobody answers. I'll prepare for a return if someone knows it won't work.

No. This isn't Bluetooth, and Xbox doesn't support Bluetooth headset's anyway, even if you provide your own dongle. Xbox wireless only works with proprietary Xbox wireless protocol. This can be used wired in your Xbox controller only.

Every other device will work out of the box with this wirelessly, as it's just a standard wireless headset (PS4/PS5, Switch, PC, mobile, etc.).

Can't really tell what you are asking. But no bluetooth headset can do both high quality audio and voice at the same time. that's why all these wireless gaming headsets have to use a special dongle, because bluetooth doesn't have the bandwidth.

It is hard to tell from the pictures, but I have a similar pair (Same brand and model but Black/red) that has a switch on the dongle for USB or Xbox.

No. You have the wireless Arctis 1 for Xbox which has the dongle with the switch. This yellow one is like the standard wireless Arctis 1 that doesn't work wirelessly with the Xbox. This dongle is smaller and doesn't have a switch.
