Don't get the flip, fancy phone, horrible battery life. Fanciness wears off, but day to day battery usage is what matters at the end. Need to charge at least 3 times a day with regular usage

I wish I hadn't bought into the iPhone hype. Lesson learnt. Now I have to wait a year and switch back. Apart from the battery if anyone is considering switching I would recommend you use one for a week.

Can I sell the s22 immediately, and use my old phone on google Fi for 4 months? Will google check which phone I am using?

Yes. You can activate on wifi, while leaving data off the entire time.

From what I've gathered, don't use the Google Fi simcard on any phone during the four months other than the S22. Once you activate the S22 with Google Fi sim, ignore the Fi sim for four months. If you put that sim in another phone, Google most likely will charge you the $500.

Yes, no, yes if you put the FI sim in another phone. You can only use another mvno Sim in the new phone. You cannot use the FI sim in another phone or you will lose the promo.

Anyone know if you finance the phone and cancel Google Fi after 120 days, if the balance becomes due on the phone? I probably wouldn't mind the service if Google Fi didn't run on T-mobile, which is shoddy in my area (though usable enough if it's just for a few months).

How long do we give Google before they kill Fi just like they kill everything else in their product catalogue?

saw this thread 4/8 and placed order for basic S22 on 4/9. In the ensuing days, read about all the shipment delays and was considering cancelling the order today. Just got email notification order just shipped. Thanks OP Smilie

Just FYI or PSA if you will, if it wasn't said already: Mobile carriers halve the price of the Galaxy S22 in South Korea after throttling issues surface: https://www.techspot.com/news/941...korea.html

Did anyone get a shipping date on a recent order? There are alot of comments about how people who ordered months ago still don't have their phones.

It's just another clickbait article. The carriers force customers to keep a minimum $80 plan for more than 6 months to get that discounted phone price. SK mobile carriers' ARPU is about $30. So basically, the carriers get all the subsidies back from selling the expensive plan.
