Seems samsung has too many chips lying around and hence they have discounted a new flagship phone so much. @Samsung, could you pls share some of your extra chips with car companies?
I work in that industry. Some are suffering worse than others. We were laid off for several weeks at my location last year just for chips.

Good question. Thinking the same thing. Not sure if you still get the multi-line discount.
Also curious? I want the unlimited plus but everyone else does not

S22's are 2-3 weeks out from shipping depending on color. They ran out of stock and are waiting for next shipment.

I did this deal and the Samsung S22 phone they sent me was god-awful. The touchscreen was intermittently unresponsive and the phone was overheating. It was hot to the touch, but I also did a heat test through the 3DMark App to confirm it. Apparently this a problem with the new S22 line and there is no fix at the moment. I've been a Samsung customer for over 10 years and have never had any issues like this before. I unfortunately had to return and am now wary of Samsung's phones. It's disappointing because Samsung is the only smartphone I've ever used and don't know what to buy instead. Maybe Samsung can fix these issues with software updates in the future, but for now I'll stay away.

If I order 2 phones and port in 2 numbers it applies the discount to both phones. Are they going to charge me for the second phone later?

this is indeed true
the flip has very poor battery life, abysmal by today's standards even on android
though its hard for android to match the efficiency of iOS esp on the iPhone 13 range, Flip is very very poor on this front.
I have the Zflip and really like it for the form factor. Battery life is normal, don't forget it is designed for small size as it's selling point.

How do they check new users? A new email and different name is enough?
I think they require your SSN for a credit check. You'd have to get someone else to sign up for you, then port your number over with this deal. You'd be a new customer.

So I have a question that I'm not 100% clear on. If you purchase the phone and do a port in for the $500 promo, can you just remove the SIM when the phone arrives and throw it in a drawer, then replace it with your own (Verizon) SIM and use the phone with your current carrier? Then after the 120 days is up just cancel the service?

Wouldn't be putting the Google Fi SIM in any other phone, just leaving in a drawer, but unsure if using the phone with another carrier would void the promotion at all. I would think it shouldn't as long as I keep the other SIM active, but just curious:

Read back about 3 days' worth of posts and you'll find the answer to your question.

Ordered S22 Ultra with 128 GB. Shows 32% utilization after few SW updates. Trying to upgrade it to 256 GB with the same $500 promo. Google fi customer service won't swap. Anyone in the same boat?

Well I went back (more like 5-6 days) and did find the conversation you're talking about. It's still pretty vague I guess so more or less just taking a chance.

Definitely don't put the Fi SIM in another phone, I got that part, but whether or not Fi requires the SIM to be in the phone and ping their network at any intervals seems unclear.

Again, common sense makes me think that as long as you are paying for the service, they shouldn't really care if the SIM/phone is actively pinging their network on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. But similarly, they shouldn't care if you just put the Fi SIM in another phone either, however they clearly do and that will void the promo. That's why I'm worried they may have the same weird stance on just not using the SIM at all.
