Just got my 128GB S22 this afternoon. On the right-hand edge, below the power/side button, there's something that I can't figure out what it is (See attached picture). It doesn't press in like a button, it's not a tray because there's no obvious way to open it (like using an eject pin with the SIM tray). Couldn't find any info about it in the owner's manual or reviews. Does anyone know what it is?
Looks like it's a mmWave 5G antenna. Not sure if this "Google Fi" S22 model has it though.

Most likely the bixby button
No, on the S22 the Side Key does double-duty as the Bibxy button and power button, depending on how long it is pressed.

Just want to give you guys an update. I received my phone yesterday and I transferred my # through Google Voice and activated the s22 with the Fi sim card. After that I took out the Fi sim (without resetting the ph) and uninstalled the Google Fi app. I put in my Mint mobile sim after and started using it. I just checked the Fi savings progress today and the days are counting down (see the attachment). It looks like we can take out the Fi sim and use our current carrier without any issue with this method. We just need to make sure that we don't put the Fi sim card into another phone.
can you check again your current saving countdown status ? Thanks

If you do not port/activate the number and return the phone then you need to contact FI customer service to remove you from the existing customer list and then you qualify for $500 instant discount.
That's not what they told me.....They told me to create a new gmail account to take advanatage of the promo after my transaction got botched by my bank...

Yes, it's still counting down without any issue. I even took out my mint sim and put back the Google Fi sim to use it for a day and then put back my mint sim after. It didn't affect the countdown at all.

For those wondering. I did the boost mobile $1 deal. Called them and the customer support was able to get me AT&T account. Was able to transfer number from boost to Google FI.

You're correct. It's not the phone number. But you'll find the account number in the dashboard in your Boost account on their website once you login. However, you will need to call their customer service to ask for the Port Out pin, it is different from the one you created when you signed up. It's six digits instead of four. Some people here have said that you need to activate the service and make sure you received calls on it, because they will call you to confirm that's your Boost number before they give you port out pin. That was not the case for me, they didn't call me or even asked why I needed the pin.
They had to call me on my phone that was using the boost number to get me pin.
