I will be heading to Southeast Asia in 1st week of August. If I keep the Fi sim card inside the phone and pay my Fi bill while travelling abroad for 2 months will it count toward the 4 months of service requirements?

Also, does google fi referral code count towards one of the 4 months of service
requirement? Tia.

My understanding is that after your Fi phone has been active for 30 days then a refer code you used will add $20 credit to your account. It'll apply toward your next due amount which even with the Flexible Plan will be $20 + taxes & fees, mine came to $26.23.

How do we ensure no data use? Basically when setting up the phone when do we turn off Mobile Data so we don't get hit by "1GB" data use for $10 just because the phone tried to download some software update on startup?

* Turn on WiFi and turn off Data before activating the phone/SIM. It'll download apps and software update using WiFi.
* In the (swipe down) quick access menu, I moved the Data button to the bottom, so it's not visible and I won't accidentally turn it on.
* In the settings for the Messages app, I turned off "Auto Download attachment", so if someone sends me an MMS it won't download the attachment and uses Data.

Anyway, if you accidentally use some Data, from what I've read it'll be prorated down to the penny for what you used, not a fixed $10 for any data used up to 1GB.

Yep it's prorated. I was just charged 47 cents for my data usage of ~0.05GB last month.

Ordered S22 white on 05/14, shipped on 05/16. Trade in iPhone 11 $197 from TW deal for $320 credit back to credit Card + $75 AMEX credit + CB. I think I end up paying $200-$250 for this phone.

Slick Deal. I won't have enough TW reward points to get a free new iPhone 11 until 5/31, so I traded in a refurbed TF Samsung A51 for $70 credit toward my S22 ordered on 4/22. When I get the free iPhone 11, I'll sell it to Trademore to recoup some money.

Thank you for what information is needed for porting out a GV number. It will be good for a future Google Fi offer. So I just need to create a voicemail pin and that will be the Port Out pin? Is that done on the website or it has to be done through the phone's app?
I order an S22 256GB White on May 3rd, and it's shipped today via TForce.

That depends on where the phone is shipped from, your location, and which carrier is used.
Mine was shipped from TN on 5/9 and picked up by FedEx Ground the same day, delivered to me in KS on 5/11. For people on the West half of the country, it looks like the phone is shipped from CA and goes by T-Force.

It depends on the model, capacity and color. It could ship quickly or you may be waiting for over a month.
