I bought this exact deal a month ago when it was on Woot. The vacuum was flawless, you could never tell it was previously used. It was a snap to set up and I absolutely love it. If you're thinking about it, do yourself a favor and go for it! No regrets here!

I think the lights need to be on with this one since it doesn't use LiDAR.

I also bought the same deal a month back. My delivered unit wasn't "flawless" a few scuffs in the underside and around edges, but it seems to be working as well as the Shark unit I bought new, two months ago for upstairs.

One weirdness: I couldn't register this unit with Shark because there wasn't a serial/model number QR code on the bottom of mine… maybe you can't register a refurb? Doesn't seem to impact functionality at all.

Recent reviews appear quite negative...not sure I want to risk it

Horrible device on every aspect possible. Only nice thing is the self emptying base. But in my case the unit was never able to map my house and ran out mod battery before cleaning the whole house. Loud, dumb. Go lidar.

There is a "Recharge and Resume" option in settings that might help. Per Shark's website:

Quote :
With Recharge and Resume, your robot returns to the dock, recharges, and can pick up where it left off. Press and hold the CLEAN button for 15 seconds to turn Recharge and Resume ON or OFF. The Recharge and Resume function is turned OFF by default. Turn ON Recharge and Resume for complete coverage if your home's floor plan is bigger than 1800 sq. ft.
This option works great for me and only a couple times have I had the robot "get lost" when returning to dock and eventually tire itself out wandering.

Bought this exact model from Woot. Wheel broke four months in, even tried to buy replacement parts. No dice - pass.

Sorry to hear. For future buyers.. If you read the full description on Woot you will see the link to buy a 2 or 3 year Assurian extended warranty plan. Laptops and vacuums, always good to get a warranty plan IMO.

Rtings only gave this 6.3/10 and a low score for pet hair.

I'm in search of one that will do well with pets, in case anyone has any recommendations out there. I currently have a Eufy 30c and it barely works even on bare floors.

Bought this when it first went on sale with Woot, been using it for around 18 months now. Within 3 months it developed a problem where it would give error #2. One of the brush motors is bad, and I have to flick the brush to get it to start moving. When I was researching online for the error it seems this is a common issue.

These things are more maintenance and less thorough than just vacuuming yourself. Call me when Tesla makes one
What about those of us who detest vacuuming daily? Are they less thorough than not vacuuming at all? My $200 robovac has saved me hours of time in comparison to if I was to vacuuming daily myself. Seeing as I would never actually vacuum daily, it is a hell of a lot more thorough than my previous "vacuum when I have to" approach. In addition it makes the times when I actually have to vacuum easier as it reduced buildup of fur in places it can't reach.
