Just had a "white glove" delivery attempted by Costco. My first really bad experience and something I will share with others as I have done some research. Costco Logistics outsources nearly all of their deliveries now. Unfortunately this means that when there is a problem or damage caused by delivery agents it can be really frustrating to get a resolution. In my case, the agents drove a rented Enterprise 26 foot delivery truck directly into my driveway and caught all of the front flower beds and sprinkler system in the wheels because they turned too sharply. It's not epic damage but I probably have 20 square feet of dually tires that destroyed anything in the bed and the main line to my sprinkler system. The delivery agents then started taking the furniture out of the box on the concrete driveway -- which included laying the leather directly down on said concrete. I get accidents happen but geesh this was $4K worth of furniture. I finally got tired of them nagging about having to move the furniture downstairs and decided to give them a break -- hey guys I'm going to help you out here -- take it all back. I'm refusing delivery. They were not happy but I figured that made us even. I was supposed to get a call from the "warehouse manager" that afternoon -- that did not happen. In any case, just warning others that Costco is not what it used to be on delivery and especially those that are marked white glove. BTW was supposed to hear back in 72 hours after filing claim with Costco Corporate and nope nothing. I was shocked at how many reports there are of these kind of issues. I guess we have been lucky so far. YMMV for Costco furniture delivery...

this is an ugly couch IMO. Costco has much better looking furniture in store for comparable pricing.
Couldn't agree more. This set looks unconfotable, and the giant wall arms that need a pillow next to them only confirms that.

Damn what ordeal. Yeah seems some people paid to do a job could care less. Hopefully better luck next time but I'm skeptical these days.

This sounds really bad, is it being handled by Innovel Solutions? (formerly Sears Logistics) Not sure why Costco didn't think buying a company from Sears wouldn't be a dumpster fire... if they couldn't keep their retail stores in business how could they be good at logistics.

Keep an eye out for the LoveSac deal to come back. Just picked it up last time and saved over 30% versus direct from the manufacturer. Definitely worth the price too if you're looking for a modular furniture set.
Link from the previous SD deal you are referring to please?

I owned this set, its super large , highly recommended to measure the room since these are not your typical set. Quality is meh , sturdy Frame but fabric does not impress. Also the cushions gave in after 6 months or so and became supper soft to the level that u can not get up.

I bought this exact couch back in 2020 for 1.2k in gray. With inflation and all this is a good deal.

But I decided to return mine since the armrests were too bulky, as weird as that sounds. The pillows were also fixed/ sewn in place, but the entire cover is removeable.

I would advice NOT to buy this couch. Had an older model but same design and could not wait to get rid of it. You have to sit exactly in the middle of each cushion or you fall over. And you cant lay on the thing. Between the cushions is wood with just fabric on it, so it is super hard.

Edit. I see they changed the design a little as they removed the wood between the cushions. So it may be a little better. I'd try to find it to demo before purchase though.
I have this couch in grey, purchased March of 2021. The butt cushions are really hard and yes, definitely have to sit in the middle of the cushions to be comfortable. I basically can only lay on it on my back with my butt in the dip between two cushions or my body will hate me the next day. The metal latches that hold each seat doesn't do a good job when the sofa is on hard flooring. This is because each foot has a small plastic smoothed disc tacked onto it, probably to prevent floor damage. If you have pets that like to lay on the back cushions, they will eventually cause them to flatten, and it's near impossible to fluff it back to a vertical-shaped cushion. I can easily tell where my dog likes to sleep during the day. Overall I'd say it does the job, but I really wish they made the butt cushions softer

I HAVE THIS!

Bought this same unit 8 years ago. It was $899.99 then and it also came with an extra square piece. How prices have changes. So good and bad.

Good
  • Modular system is awesome. They have a left and right locking system (male/female lock in place)
  • The back cushions are soft and conform well
  • The back cushions have zippers so you can add more fill when needed
  • I have a 2" foam queen mattress, the modular system turns into a queen and I roll out the mattress and it's amazing! Perfect for movie night on the large screen!
  • Stain resistance has been great, clean ups are a cinch.
  • Vacuuming pet hair off this is simple

Now the Bad
  • After the first couple of years the spring from the seats started wearing uneven through the sinuous batting. I had to keep rotating the seats to try to have them wear evenly
  • The back cushions are so soft, they lose their shape and get crushed
  • Someone mentioned pets... yes, my dog lays on the arm and it's smooshed. Have to keep replacing the fill or adding more to puff it up.
  • The sewn seam on two of the seats have unraveled (after 5 years)

I looked at this cause 8 years later it's time to go. It's a lumpy, uneven, spring poking your butt, smooshed mess, BUT it did go 8 years for $900 when I bought it.
