I can say from experience that this side by side style is far better than the French door style.

I was alive and roaming kitchens in the 1970's and no refrigerator looked like this. I remember some burnt orange colors and muted avocado green as well as the standard white. Those fancy colors cost extra, so we only had the standard white with the freezer up top.

Agreed. French door makes the freezer a pit and hard to organize. Whirlpool is a mess of a company as well.

Whirlpool and Costco both list "optional icemaker". There is no option for it in the cart or checkout. No photos showing location. Middle reviews indicate problems with the finish, delivery/installation, and interior lighting.

I bought a Kitchenaid Built in fridge in 2020. It's all Whirlpool company. After it took 7 months to receive and a few minor situations here and there, I must say that I cannot imagine a worse structured customer service organization than Whirlpool. Just keep that in mind

I am so confused what the selling point of this model is. Looks like it's $600 lower than Homedepot, but honestly no icemaker or water dispenser makes this a headscratcher. Is it even garage ready?

I was looking at this fridge and realized its the exact same one I have except mine has a ice maker at the top of the freezer (left side).

The fridge is a piece of shit. The back shelves bow without that much weight on it, a door shelf broke the other day when I closed them with a bowl sticking out. It also buzzes like crazy, i wanted to destroy it when I first got it but I think i tuned it out now.

I got it like 2 years ago when I was bad financial shape and needed something in a pinch and it was a deal for an open box model, I think I paid like 600 or 700 bucks.
