The 3080 will not be widely available for purchase at $700 until the 4 series is introduced.

this is still not a great value card. The 3070 nonTi at $600 (which is above msrp) is much better value for not much less performance, and the 3080 nonTi (regardless of 10 or 12 gb sku) is better value with more performance at sub-$900. I've seen both those cards at those prices sitting in stock at major retailers the past week. The 70ti our just not a great card for the price.

I don't have a graphic card yet, just using the i7 to play games and have to select the lowest settings. I don't see the rainbow in rainbow six at all at the moment. But been waiting for over a year, could wait until the return policy is up.

I agree tho… if the 3080 hits 800 then I'll cancel my 3070ti order. But a 3080 may be overkill for me… I typically play older games and then I'm gaming at 1440, so a 3070-3070ti seems to be the sweet spot for me.
Good to know that this is only about $50 over msrp. The 3080 is about 20% better and for 100 more, a bit of future proofing is nice; if it's available

Now I'm a seeing a trend here w/ the incremental influx of NVIDIA GPUs "flooding" the market. This is probably damage control on NVIDIA AIB's part in an attempt to rid excess inventory since they may have underestimated how long they could markup inventory in a scarcity fashion before the release of next gen cards... Or this could be delayed inventory from their warehouse due global shipping hurdles. At these prices above MSRP this late in this release cycle, I'll have to pass.

I'm in the same shoes, want the TUF setup… paid $680 for the Asus 3070 Dual OC as well, but that was in December so at that time it was a great price… I had an EVGA 3060Ti that I purchased for $470 prior but sold at cost to a good friend for the 3070, not sure if it was worth it lol… cool story, I know! 😁 As far as this card, great price I think, prices will continue to slowly fall but that was inevitable, the shortage wasn't going to last 5 years !
