Other big issue is I wouldn't sink my money into a system like this when there are Ryobi sets that are comparable, with WAY more tool options and plentiful batteries. I bought this kit for my dad last week: https://www.homedepot.c
Please correct me if I'm wrong about that - but users should verify compatibility before purchasing for that purpose.

years ago, I got the kit with 1/2" drill/driver and fast charger for $80.
Now it has the weaker LDX120 3/8" drill/driver and a slow charger.
Wished there were more tools that use this battery go on sale.

That's more versatility in a battery than any other tool set as far as I know.
Edit: Based on other comments, it seems that only older craftsman 20v bolt-on series drills work as stated above.

One of those things, the tool itself is likely decent (saws are very difficult to screw up design wise) but they definitely are not bundling it with something that can power it correctly. It has the left blade design which I'm a big fan of myself as a right hander, but then has to be undersized @ 5.5 inches due to power issues which is a bummer. I'm a much bigger fan of 6.5 inch versions when they need to scale down a bit, more blade options and at least you can cut @ 45 degrees if needed (usually). I don't think it'd have a chance of getting thru 2x material at a bevel (not talking power here - just depth of cut limitation of the small blade).
The fact that they give such small batteries with a circular saw proves B&D aren't really trying to market effective tools.
Shouldn't be that hard to differentiate.
