Apparently, batteries are designed to leak. It's better for them to leak than to be sealed and then explode. They said they will leak if in hot environments. I guess you won't get device protection. I didn't know duracell and energizer will reimburse you for damaged devices from leaky batteries.

My fav part was the eco fee canadaians pay. If I had that I would be pretty interested in where that was going and why.
Alkaline and lithium are the way though yes.
Trash dollar tree batteries. These are expensive. Rayovac is the same quality for less
