The free updates don't include upgrades.
IOW, when Office 2024 (or whatever) comes out you don't get to upgrade to it. However, you will still receive security, bug, and critical updates to your Office 2021 for the life of the product (thru Oct 13, 2026).

Also, read the ONE COMPUTER part as something that you control. If a computer that you had this Office 2021 on dies, you are fully able to license the same Office 2021 on a new computer, provided you log into your Microsoft account and remove the old computer activation. It's a full retail license that is fully transferrable - as long as it's only on one computer at a time.

Also², If you already have (or have had) a Microsoft account tied to a subscription Microsoft product (Office365/Microsoft365) Microsoft may not allow you to use that account for perpetual products (although this isn't explained when you try to use it). Just create a new, free Microsoft account and activate it that way. You can use the key you receive for any valid email address (regardless of the email address you enter when purchasing the Office 2021 Pro).

I purchased from here in mid April. Last week my installation suddenly restricted my access as unlicensed. I called Microsoft support and they tried to help but unable to saying something to the effect this was MSDN licensed and ultimately I would have to contact the seller. I do not recommend this deal.

No lifetime of this version ON ONE COMPUTER not just ONE COMPUTER. You login with your licence on the new PC. Remove license from old and transfer to new. This is not new. Your Windows works exactly the same.

This worked for my sister - she was able to download and install without any issues. Make sure you read the other comment about updates and 1 computer restriction.
I personally don't need this because the Google and Apple office suites work just fine for me

How do you do this? I'm trying to accomplish something similar. On my MS subscription page, hxxps://account.microsoft.com/services, I don't see any option to remove the license from the old PC so that I can transfer it to my new PC.

PS: I just called the Office 365 support line and the agent simply transferred the license to the new PC. Easy peasy!

I bought the Office 2021 Professional Plus from the link https://softkeyworld.com/product/...onal-plus/ (from top of the thread) and I been trying to install and getting error again and again. Most of the time I am getting error code 30088-45 but sometime different error Frown

I had office 2013 installed on my computer which I uninstall, I disabled firewall but no difference. I chatted with Microsoft and technician tried different way - reinstalling, under new user profile etc... but he failed, then he started arguing we don't sell professional plus version so you have to contact seller, he was just bluffing because he could not solve the issue.

Does anyone having issue or does anyone know how to solve this?
