kef q350 ($750) would compare to studio 530 ($230), the difference would be about $520 and it would depend on personal taste as to which you think sounds better. For either of those to compare to 590 they would need to have a sub connected, the 590 is a large speaker that goes down to 35hz, the bookshelves can't even think about low frequencies without a sub. The 590 is also the type of speaker that can rock a house party and deliver extreme volume levels effortlessly, the others are more for a tea party and can't come even close to the sound output of the 590..

Great for the price. It was a huge upgrade from a cheap Monoprice one I had before; to be clear, I'm not an audiophile. One other thing: be aware, this thing is big.
