Miserably bad 90 day warranty.

Possible alternative for $29 is this from harbor freight or around $50 for other brands and vendors.

Yeah, the 90-day warranty on that Harbor Freight tool is miserably bad, isn't it? After having one of their other electronic things fail just after the warranty expired, I'd be pretty cautious about buying that.

This Craftsman Digital Click has a one year warranty. https://i.sears.com/s/d/pdf/mp-tc...6705730412

I have to wonder how accurate it is near its low and high end. Probably basically an overpriced mid-range 3/8" torque wrench mostly useful from 20-80 ft-lb, that you can get for way less than half the price in analog form. Then you can use the savings to get a decent analog 1/2" wrench which you'll need for lug nuts, suspension bolts, axle nuts, etc, and still have almost enough left over to also get a decent analog 1/4" wrench for small fasteners, spark plugs, etc.

I am not a fan of torque wrenches with vast ranges either. They usually seem to not be accurate at the lower range. I have a high range torque wrench 1/2" drive for wheel and suspension, a couple of 3/8" drive torque wrenches for the majority of stuff and then a 1/4" torque wrench for anything smaller or with inch/lbs and ft/lbs.

This is still a CLICK style torque wrench. There is no tone or beep when you hit the desired torque. You press buttons to adjust the Digital display to your desired torque number, instead of rotating a knob.

Reviewers on YT said they paid $50.

I have 5 at this point. One was a beam style 3/8" that I got 20 years ago to work on my road bike, but I never really liked using it as it was hard to get what I felt was an accurate reading. When I started working on our cars a few years ago I started with a 1/2" for most fasteners, then got a 3/8" for more accuracy in the 20-40 range, then a 1/4" for under 20, and most recently another 1/2" that goes up to 250 for things like axle and suspension nuts. I got tired of borrowing one from Autozone whenever I needed one and theirs didn't seem that accurate. If you work on cars and bikes much, you need several.

I stand corrected. I blame the bad documentation -- I downloaded the warranty PDF document and
it has a page just for "Electronic Torque Wrenches" -- which this certainly is in the very product description -- which says 90 day warranty.

Somewhat insanely they then have a totally different entry for "Digi Click" torque wrenches with a different warranty.

And yes I know the Harbor freight device has a very limited warranty, but it is also 1/4 the cost. So if I am going to use something that's
going to break after a year or less after a few jobs, I'm probably going to get the cheap one if I don't need to use it often past the immediate project,
or shell out for a much nicer unit that will last a life time.

Even 1 year warranty is not impressive. When I saw "craftsman" I though "hmm cool maybe a life time warranty, I might buy that...!". Nope.
