only 15 reviews, many paid reviewers.
Sold by Amazon.

popular in prior posts: anyone with firsthand experience?
seems like a good price.
prior threads have commented 20x20 is good for DIY box fan air filters...would this MERV rating be too restrictive for box fans?

Seems like a push to sell these between the all very recent, all-very-Vine reviews. However, it's shipped/sold by Amazon so I'm game for ordering and seeing what quality comes.

As for box fans, I'd be leery of putting one of these on a typical consumer fan as the load increase would be, while not sever, noticeable. It all depends on your goal though.

Was able to combine this great deal with promo code 10OFFPICKUP (when picking up the order at my nearby Amazon Fresh Store). Total before tax was $8.94. TY OP

Tape measure, if 20x20 means 20 inch by 20 inch x 1 inch thick, or remove your exisiting one and see if they have measurement written on filter itself

Does not look fuzzy enough to be merv11 from the photos, looks more like merv8.

too much load for fan=bad for AC too?

we have seasonal allergies this time of year in AZ, but not sure if I want to hurt our 15 yo AC We might be moving this year too.

We went from the cheap blue filters to these dense "allergy" filters and our power bill went up almost $60 a month. We are now just replacing them every week until we blow through them. We're going back to the cheap filters. I think you would be better off going out and getting a dedicated standalone air filter then to depend on these that put the extra strain on your HVAC.

That would depend on your AC and it's recommended filter type. The higher level of MERV filters do put more of a load on a system but they also help reduce the air particulates that can affect you and clog your AC (which is why they should be regularly inspected).

good point. I was more concerned about AC load but power $$ matter too. Maybe use these upstairs for our bedrooms. AC doesn't run as much there too.

I wish I was still an apartment dweller and could use these cheap ones. My house HVAC uses the chonky 25x20x4 which are $40 and up. I only change it once a year though.

I'm wondering the same thing. They are 30-40% more now than they were even six months ago. This is where I start to believe there is some greed involved in this inflation run up. No way plastic fiber filters cost has increased that much
