'Just' $100 over MSRP. Worth getting or wait at this rate? If this can drop to MSRP in a month or so, think I'll wait but just don't know how long it will take

Campfire

It's nice to see graphic cards both in stock and dropping (slowly) in price again...

$599 is the starting price of the reference design RTX 3050 Ti, not the custom models or the OC models like this one. The MSRP of this specific model is over $650.

Just brought one and finger-cross that I will not get a coil whine GPU card.

Remember to pay with Chase Freedom Visa Card for extra 5% cash back ($35).
Or, use Discover point via Amazon promotion for extra $10-$15 off.

I'd say if you're in a market for new GPU, I'd say to get it now. $100 over for overclocked third party card is reasonable IMO, I picked the same card for same price at Microcenter recently.

Remember what happened when the 3000 series came out,
it was close to impossible to get at release at MSRP, and the 2000 series were also sold out.
I wanted to upgrade from GTX 1070 then, but I ended up picking up RTX 3060 on Newegg Shuffle almost year and half later.

3060(non Ti) is not much better than a 1070, especially if playing at only 1080p.

With 6X memory and with this being a 1440P card, 8Gb should be just fine.
