Mac Studio sells at MC for $1,949. Am I missing something at MC? I'm not sure these are competing for the same customer. Not sure what you are trying to say linking this to a 2 grand Mac.

Excellent deal; I'm pretty sure that Apple's certified refurbished M1s go for more than this. I picked up a used 16 GB RAM M1 for about $87 more to future-proof a little, but for those fine with 8 GB of RAM this is about as good as you'll do at the moment.

At retail this device is a 1/3 of the cost of an MBP 14. The Mac mini compares more to the MacBook Air or 13 MBP. The Mac Studio is a better comparison for the 14 MBP.

I was on the fence personally about 8GB but the following video eased my nerves and I feel 8GB is more than enough for my needs.
