You need to take a 2nd look, it is not a 3060TI it's a 1660TI.

If you're ok with 1660-level performance, I think I'd go with the $599 HP Victus 1660 Super deal and upgrade the RAM (and maybe add some supplemental storage) yourself. Or, even better, go with the $799 3060 config and do the same... though it would probably be wise to do the $25 500w PSU upgrade as well (though they don't force it, which surprises me).

There's a significant performance improvement in games, especially with Ryzens, when you run dual channel memory. 8 to 16GB is definitely worth the investment.

I had this computer. Can say it felt faster than my amd 3600 computer. The case doesn't have the best air flow but never ran hot.

Ha old timer! I totally forgot I had a cyrix 486 back in the day. Then if I recall properly an AMD K6. Competition has always been needed/good in the computing hardware market.

I can't stop the nostolgia slide... Rockin a Diamond VGA card, looking for buttery smooth frames playing x-wing, tie, fighter while using my CH Flight stick! Maybe rock some Doom or Duke Nukem 3D when I need something different.

Those games and that hardware where the start of a shift toward modern gaming as we know it! 3D revolution.

Remember Vudu 3D passthrough cards and the first time seeing transparent water in quake 1 blew my mind.

I don't know the specific timings of the RAM for this PC. So not sure. That being said, given the motherboard this has, you should be able to set the correct speed in the BIOS (3200 MHz) with ease. Which means it should accept a variety of different RAM options. The last set I got was on Amazon for my laptop and desktop. You can track prices there with CCC.
