You could do something similar with sake for cold sake with your sushi or other Japanese meals. Though... 1.3 quarts is a LOT of sake lol!

This carafe could be used to chill hot (or room-temperature) beverages pretty quickly (especially if water+ice is put in the central tube) without diluting it. In addition to coffee and sake, it could be used for vodka, tea (regular or herbal), and perhaps even gazpacho, lol
For me I was thinking about keeping cold undiluted water on the night stand.
